New people have come to our church. This year we baptized three new members of the church – two ladies and a young man Alexander (photo 1). Alexander grew in a family of drug addicts. In his childhood he attended a Sunday school. He always wanted to change something in his life; he didn’t want to live like his family. Currently he went to study in Kiev. He also participates in a ministry among dysfunctional families.

This year we plan on ordaining one brother to the diaconal ministry. His name is Sergei. Together with his wife and children they help us greatly in our ministry.

After summer holidays we have started our “Day Center” for children, but we don’t have enough teachers for this ministry. This ministry is a difficult one because our center is attended by children from dysfunctional families, each of them having their wounds and problems. Therefore we ask the Lord to send us those ministers who would love and be patient to these children.

This summer took place a wonderful camp for teenagers of our county. God called me to serve as one of the organizers of this camp. In a special way

God touched children’s hearts throughout the camp – they asked questions, told about themselves, opened their hearts and prayed together with leaders.

During camp a boy, David, came to me. He is a refugee from Donetsk. With his mother they escaped from war and came to his grandmother, but because of the financial challenges, his mother had to go to work in Italy. David remained with his grandmother. He says that it is very difficult for him and he misses his mother. He has no friends and children at school offend him, calling him “separatist”. Only in camp he felt comfortable, found friends and learned about the Friend, who never betrays and always understands – Jesus Christ.

In our church we also have started a club for teenagers. It is attended by about 15 young people. Our musician, Sergei, also has started a free class of playing the guitar. There he teaches youth playing Christian songs (photo 2).

Thanks to other churches and separate people, we have some clothes, which we give to widows and needy people. They are very grateful for that (photo 3). We also try to help with medical treatment to the children from our Day Center and children of the members of our church, because it is very hard financial times now. The prices for medicines have increased greatly.

With love and prayers for you,

Ruslan Buryachok
